ALLOTMENTS

Aylesbury Town Council is responsible for seven allotment sites within the Town which supports 619 plots; Due to high demand we have waiting lists for all sites. Please Click here for a map of the allotments sites.

If you would like to go on to one of the sites waiting lists please provide your name, full address and contact details. Either phone 01296 425678 or e-mail k.wiltshire@Aylesburytowncouncil.gov.uk. (one waiting list per person).

The Town Council will contact you providing you with an approximate idea of where you are on the waiting list. Aylesbury’s allotments can only be let to the residents of Aylesbury Town Parish. If you live in Watermead, Fairford Leys or parts of Hawkslade that is in the parish of Stoke Mandeville please contact the following:

Fairford Leys       K. Gray 01296 381397
Watermead         G. Thomas 01296 641435

When the time comes and a plot becomes available a letter will be sent offering you a plot and and requesting a site meeting. You will meet an Outside Supervisor to discuss any questions you may have. Once you have chosen your plot we will send out your keys and contracts in the post and then it’s all yours.

Once a month our Outdoor Supervisor carries out a “site inspection” were he goes to all 7 allotment sites to check to see if all plots are being worked. If there are any plots that he is concerned about the Town Council will send out a “weed letter” It’s a letter explaining that your plot isn’t being maintained to Aylesbury Town Council standards and just to check if the tenant maybe struggling with the plot or if they would like to end their tenancy.

Rotorvate                               £55

Site Clearance                      Price on request

Rotovation: We now plough rather than rotovate plots that are being let to new tenants. We ask for a deposit of £50 which will be returned to the tenant if at sometime in the future the tenancy is given up and the allotment returned to the council in a weed free and workable state.

We charge £55 for rotovation we can’t give a timescale due to the weather, but the Town Council does put a high priority carrying out this type of work.
