Apply for Free Entertainment for YOUR Street Party
Unfortunately we can lo longer accept applications for Street Party entertainment due to high levels of interest. We are sorry if you were not able to apply, but we wish you the very best of luck with your arrangments and a happy bank holiday!
To those who have already applied and are eligible, we will provide, free of charge:
~ Twistina, the incredible Balloon Twister
~ Close Up Magic from Ali Cardabra, the London Chimney Sweep!
~ Face painting
~ Juggling and diablo performances
~ A meet and greet from Aylesbury's charasmatic Mayor, Graham Webster
~ Photos taken on the day - yours to keep as a memento.
The street party must take place within the boundries of the parish of Aylesbury town. if you are not sure if your party will fall within these boundries, please contact us with your postcode and we can tell you. You can look at a map of Aylesbury Town, showing the different wards, here. The street party must also take place during the day of the Royal Wedding itself, which is Friday, 29th April, preferably between the hours of 1.40pm and 5pm, however special provisions may be made if your party will be outside this time period - just let us know when applying and we'll see what we can do.
Because we will be travelling from street party to street party throughout the day, the performers will only be able to provide entertainment for a short while. The amount of time will depend on the number of street parties we need to visit, however we promise that you will get at the very least half an hour of entertainment per street party. Places are limited, so it is advisable to apply now to secure free entertainment for your party!
If applicable, it is important that you have organised a road closure for your street party. Unfortunately we will be unable to provide any entertainment unless the location has been made safe by way of an authorised road closure, if applicable. Aylesbury Vale District Council, the local authority who grant road closures in Aylesbury, have encouraged people to hold street parties and will look favourably upon anyone applying for a road closure because of a street party in aid of the Royal Wedding, so there is no reason not to apply. You can find out more, and apply for a road closure, here: www.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk/street-parties.
