Shopping in Aylesbury
The Town Centre hosts two main shopping centres, Friars Square and Hale Leys, both under cover, and this makes shopping in poor weather a brighter experience. Both offer many well known high street retailers, Friars Square has BHS, House of Fraser, River Island, New Look, Game, La Senza, HMV, Claire’s Accessories, Thorntons, Superdrug & many more!
Hale Leys has Next, Boots, Accessorize, Clarks, Evans, Card Factory and more. The centres also have specialist, independent shops, including a range of traders in the Cloisters Indoor Market in the lower mall of Friars Square.
Other excellent hunting grounds for quality and reasonably priced goods are the High Street, Bourbon Street, Kingsbury, Buckingham Street and Cambridge Street, all of which are within easy walking distance of the Market Square. The square itself plays host to a traditional open-air markets and other events, with antiques, and Collectables on Tuesdays and a general market every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Continental markets are held bi-annually, and monthly Farmers' Markets are held every fourth Tuesday.
