Saturday 27 August, 2016  FREE EVENT.  Part of Parklife Weekend

Vale Park was filled with over 8,000 people enjoying the vast array of free entertainment and activities on offer.  9.5 hours of live music was provided by a host of local artists and bands.  Essential Motion opened the show at 12noon, performing a mix of all-time classic floor-fillers, top Chart material, deep grooves and some overlooked classics.  Other local bands playing include Aylesbury favourites Lost Minute, The Dung Beatles and Bustin’ Loose.  Acoustic and original music came from Paul Jackson, Evette Judge, The Ukes of Hazzard, James and his very talented son Jack Manders, Lucy Mair and the impressive Rock Choir.  SkaSoulsUK closed the show with an amazing set of bouncing ska tracks, including classics for Madness, Bad Manners and The Specials, alongside there own original music.

The traditional fun fair rides, mega slide and bouncy castle were as popular as ever with children.  For the first time, we were also joined by over 15 companies and charities in the Community Involvement Area, where everyone could take part in a range of activities (also all for free) – including a petting zoo, badminton training, 10 pin bowling, spinal checks, astrology, play schemes and so much more.

Many families brought picnics, rugs and chairs to enjoy the full day of free entertainment.  Others took advantage of the wide range of hot food and cold beer available to buy.

Next years Parklife Weekend will be Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 August, 2017.  Take a look at this years pictures (below) to see all the fun which was had.
