Proms in the Park @ Vale Park | England | United Kingdom

Aylesbury Concert Band with soloists Alison Langer and Lawrence Thackery will delight you at this typically English outdoor concert. The program will include special arrangements for all of the family to enjoy, as well as the popular and traditional Proms anthems of Rule Britaina, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.

This year we will be joined by Shona Beecham, a 15 year old violinist with an extraordinary talent.

Bring your Union Jack flags, rugs, picnics, friends and family to enjoy the mix of traditional and contemporary arrangements. The evening, and entire Parklife weekend, will culminate in a brilliant firework display at approx. 9:30pm.

During the interval you will be entertained by Hartbeats Vitae Drummers, who are an African drumming group based in High Wycombe that Justine Hart has been running for 20 years. Justine specialises in djembe and dundun drumming rhythms and dances from West Africa. You are welcome to join Justine’s evening classes in High Wycombe (Tues) and Wendover (Weds) as well her new African dances classes in High Wycombe.
