Soapbox Derby @ Whitehill Park | England | United Kingdom

30 karts will be taking part in Aylesbury’s fourth Soapbox Derby, in an attempt to take home an amazing trophy.  Over the past 3 years, we have seen some truly inspired karts race through Whitehill Park, from the fast and furious, sleek and lean karts made for speed, to the bizarre and obscure karts which have been designed, built and decorated purely for the fun of the day.  These lean mean, racing machines are powered by sheer courage, the gravity of a hill and the big push that it’s give at the start line.

Whitehill Park is the setting for this exciting and thrilling event, held on Father’s Day, Sunday 17th June, it promises to be a fantastic, free day out for the entire family.  Open to everyone whether you have built a kart or would just like to come along as a spectator and enjoy a host of other activities on offer including music, go-karts, Ride-on Little Tikes for the little ones, swing boats, crafts, games and much more, all for FREE. There is no cost to participate or spectate, so come along and enjoy a fun packed day. This year there will be a BBQ on site, along with The Works with their very popular ice-cream bike, and The Coffee Stop, should you get hungry or thirsty. You are also welcome to bring your own picnic, should you wish.

With thanks to our official event supporters – Rogue Racing who are our time keepers and scrutineers for the day, Queens Park Arts Centre for providing brilliant crafts and TVP Aylesbury Police Cadets for marshalling and parking assistance.
