Tudor Fayre @ Bucks County Museum | England | United Kingdom

The history of the Tudors is brought to life on Sunday 9th September at the Bucks County Museum in Aylesbury, with a wide range of interactive historians to submerge you into the Tudor times.

Come and meet King Henry VIII, who will be wandering the grounds, you may join him as he’s entertained by his comical court Jester.  King Henry’s second wife Anne Boleyn will be with us too, along with her spectacular Falcons.

There are a host of informative, historical performers for you to meet – The skinner, whose knowledge and skill ensured the common Tudor folk were fed and clothed.  A gamesman is bringing a variety of traditional games for you to try.  A wood turner whose pedal-powered pole-lathe shows exactly how technology and innovation assisted in modern production methods.  We have archers who will impress you with their accuracy and teach you the skills required to hunt your own prey and defend your territory.   There will also be swordsmen, singers, dancers and Leonardo Da Vinci’s entourage to keep you entertained.

The Tudor Fayre is on from 11am until 4pm at the Bucks County Museum, Church Street, Aylesbury, HP20 2QP

Tudor Fayre takes places during the Heritage Open days when a number of events are happening within the town centre. For more information, visit www.heritageopendays.org.uk
