Parklife Weekend Cancelled due to the impacts of Covid-19

It is with great, but inevitable, sadness that we  have cancelled this years Parklife Weekend, including Live in the Park and Proms in the Park.

The annual summer festival attracts over 17,000 people over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, given the current government guidelines the event cannot be organised in a safe environment for all the performers, suppliers and visitors.

Leader of the Council, Richard Lloyd says “It is with great regret that we’ve had to cancel the Parklife weekend but the safety of residents, performers, suppliers and volunteers is our top priority and we’ve made this difficult decision as late as we can. I’d like to thank everyone for their understanding and we’re excited to be working with Stoke Mandeville Hospital radio on the alternative NOT Parklife weekend”

We are currently working on plans to bring NOT Live in the Park – to their Facebook page and other social platforms, alongside SMHR. It will be a day packed with local musicians, fun and a look back over the past five years of Live in the Park, taking place on Saturday 29 August. More information available soon
