Aylesbury is a diverse and wonderful place to live and visit. As your Town Council we are proud to bring you an event programme full of variety, colour, fun and entertainment that reflects and enhances our fabulous town and local history. Encompassing music, dance, education and history with a generous helping of free fun for all the family.
From all day live music concerts with its roots firmly in the 70s Friars Club, which started right here in Aylesbury and featured performers like Queen, The Who and David Bowie; to bringing a touch of seaside laughter to a town that is reputably the “furthest from the sea” and an exhilarating Soapbox Derby which takes place on Father’s Day.
At Aylesbury Town Council we enjoy expanding and improving our events and links to the community. One way in which we achieve this is to work in partnership with other local authorities, businesses, charities and organisations – including Buckinghamshire Council, Queens Park Arts Centre, Discover Bucks Museum, Aylesbury Wombles, Tesco Community Champions and the Scouts. In addition, through our website and social media pages, we offer the opportunity for other charity and community events taking place in the area to be promoted to the residents of Aylesbury on our Community Noticeboard, click here to send through your event details.
Our events are constantly evolving, changing and developing. We take your opinion very seriously and your ideas can often be translated into the following year’s programme. Please do get in touch if you would like to share any views about our events by emailing the team.
