TV & Screen Concert with the Aylesbury Concert Band @ St Mary's Church Aylesbury | England | United Kingdom

Bart Simpson, P.T. Barnum (Hugh Jackman), Jon Snow and the Blues Brothers are all well-known TV and Screen characters, that we love and enjoy.

On the 9th March 2019, the Aylesbury Town Mayor presents the Aylesbury Concert Band, in its 25th anniversary year, performing popular and classic tunes from the world of “TV & Screen”

let band take you away into the fantasy world of Games of Thrones, on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, where noble dynasties are vying to claim the throne or fighting for independence from it, others are plotting their return to the throne and a longstanding brotherhood defends the realm against threads from fierce people and legendary creatures.

Next, meet the world’s favourite, original nanny “Mary Poppins”. Who didn’t wish that they had Mary as their nanny, dreaming about jumping into street pictures and riding on race horses, or enjoying a cup of tea on the ceiling whilst aching from belly laughter. With her recent appearance on the big movie screens it is only fitting that a medley of the famous tunes is included in this fantastic programme.

Who remembers the Victorian Kitchen Gardens, a 13 part TV series from 1987? Even if you didn’t watch it at the time, you may well know the theme tune, a lovely clarinet solo.

Get transported away into the wonderful musical world of “TV & Screen” at this FREE concert in St Mary’s Church Aylesbury, at 2.30pm. This concert programme features music enjoyed by all ages.

Entry to the concert is Free and donations at the door are welcome as all funds are donated to the Mayor’s Charity Carer’s Bucks and the Aylesbury Concert Band.
