The Council’s work is managed by six committees. Each year, at the Annual Meeting of the Council, the Chairmen of the committees are elected. At the same time membership of each committee is reviewed. Members volunteer to serve on the committees of their choice.

Committees enable a small group of Members, usually about six or seven, to research issues in depth. Once they have thoroughly explored a matter, they make a resolution which is then recommended to full Council for approval.
