Mayor of Aylesbury Cllr Steven Lambert 2023-24

Aylesbury’s new Mayor for the year 2023-24, Cllr Steven Lambert, was elected at the annual meeting of the Council on 11 May 2023, which was held at the Town Hall.

Cllr Steven Lambert, thanked everyone for the nomination and election and said:

“I am honoured to be elected as Mayor of Aylesbury for a town I have called home for more than 20 years. This town is where I have set down roots and become embedded in community life by being a Parish, district, county and now unitary councillor, a long-standing Trustee of our town’s youth charity, a school governor and a champion of support for local community groups.

“As Mayor, my aim is to continue championing our town, raising our profile and our community’s spirits and highlighting the so many wonderful groups and individuals that make our town the best place it can be – for all of us.”

Cllr Alan Sherwell accepted the role of Deputy Mayor for the coming year.
