Sunday 16 June, Whitehill Park

Race your very own Soapbox

This thrilling Father’s Day event is perfect for friends, family, or colleagues to take on a challenge together. Or perhaps you’re a local community group who’d like to learn new skills and promote yourselves? Then the Soapbox Derby could be for you!

The Soapbox Derby is a great opportunity to work together over weekends and school holidays, creating a kart that will race along the track and hopefully secure you a space on the winner’s podium.

Volunteer

Our free community events rely on a squad of volunteers to ensure that all elements of the event run smoothly. With roles which include everything from assisting on the meeting point or in the disabled viewing area, to waving the finish line or helping on the craft stall – there really is something to suit everyone.

We would ask for a minimum of a six-hour commitment, between 10am and 5pm.

There’s no obligation to progress, but always worth a chat.
